RAIN!!!!
Well...we went on our usual Friday hike yesterday. It was interesting. We hiked Go John trail in Cave Creek recreational park. It was a trail that was supposed to have one steep incline at the beginning, but I found it full of ups and downs. This was a trail that Karen picked. According to the hiking guide she referenced it was supposed to be filled with empty mine shafts and lots of old history. We actually saw two mine shafts, a quartz field, and an awesome trail that teetered along the edge of the mountain. I think we all would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't so hella windy yesterday. My god, I can't remember the last time it was that windy here.
After the hike we ate Armenian food...yummers! And....after that....we ended up at a bar where I proceeded to get "buzzed"....that's my story and I'm sticking to it. We had a chat all co-workers should have about sex/anal sex, and so forth...gee....can't wait until Monday.
I knew I was going to wake up with a hangover, but imagine my surprise when it was at 4:30 am and to the pitter patter of rain. RAIN! Yep, it has rained all day! Maybe our entire state won't burn down this summer after all. We only went 143 days with out a drop. Have I mentioned that's the one drawback about living here? When we first moved here I basically had withdrawls from rain. Michael quickly remedied that the best way he knew how. He bought me a thunderstorm cd. We would turn out the lights and turn the air conditioner down low...so it was chilly. It worked for the most part.
Anyway....Kung fu was cancelled so naturally we have been drinking, laying around, and watching movies all day instead. So far we finally watched Wedding Crashers and Batman Begins. I'll spare you the little reviews I usually give and just say that I don't feel my Saturday has been wasted. :)
Michael just arrived home from purchasing some beer and I'm getting ready to make some Pizza pasta for dinner...I think. I'm sure I'll be staring out the window for the remainder of the night. Hope your evening is just as titillating.
