Arizona adventures with Sam continue....
Well, I have been quite busy with Sam lately. I just can't seem to find very much time to blog. Yesterday, we were going to go trail riding in the Usery Mountains, but that didn't work out as planned. We ended up going into town to do the townie things on our list.
We started with a walk down Mill Avenue. It's the main drag near ASU. There are a lot of cool shops and restaurants. I didn't think that he would love it or any thing, I know that they don't have strung out college stoners juggling for change in Evansville, IN. We saw a couple of street performers including: a stick juggler, a bongo drumming couple with dreads, and several guitarists. I took him into Urban Outfitters to see all the funny books and games. That was pretty much the end of Mill Ave.
We went to Zia records, which is totally fucking awesome by the way. They have all kinds of music, video games, dvds, and other crap new and used. I bought Sam an old White Zombie cd as a thank you for all the help with the paper. I decided I deserved something new too. I bought my self the very hyped up Green Day album and a Better Off Dead dvd. "Two dollars....I want my two dollars." Nothing has rung truer in a while.
Next we went to one of my all time favorite Italian restaurants. We had a wonderful dinner with a nice conversation about farting of all things.....we talked about some serious stuff too. We finished dinner and went over to Vanessa's to visit and pick up/drop off Christmas presents. She was supposed to come over on Christmas day, but decided that double time at work would suit her better. She then went home (West Virginia) to visit for New Year's. It was the first time we had a chance to see her since Christmas. I have to say I was a little ticked at her for not meeting us on Mill Ave, but that's a different post.
We arrived at Vanessa's and she opened all her presents and stocking stuff. I opened mine, and was so excited! I received Gilmore Girls Season 2 from her! Yay! Now I have seasons one and two. She also gave me a queeny chef ornament for next year's tree, a red cross ornament for my tree or for my bathroom ( our guest bath is themed in American Red Cross), a Woodstock stuffed animal without Snoopy ( you never see those), and a cool ass pedicure kit with a battery operated foot file thingy. I'm excited.
After the gift giving we decided to watch some ghost show that she had recorded. It was interesting enough, but I was getting tired. I still had to do the route tonight. I decided to get up and run her dog Jake. We all ended up going outside and taking a little walk. It was a little nippy. I gave Sam the look and we took off. There was a bad traffic jam on the 60 and we sat for a while listening to the radio. Jeezus, you would not believe what the Phoenicians pick as the top ten. It was depressing I tell you.
When we finally got home we downloaded the route. Holy Shit! I have 327 fucking papers! I didn't sign up for this shit. I want my mommy, oh wait no I fucking don't. We ended up delivering everything on time except for the last few. I got home only to realize that my driver's license, insurance card, debit card, and bosses business card had fallen out of my pocket some where on the route. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!
I found it at the Walker Butte School. It's a good thing I'm a talker because someone had already picked it up and taken inside. Whew! Close call for me, I never lose that kind of stuff. I was in a panic. Now I'm bleary eyed and exhausted from my emotional day. I'm going the fuck to bed. Night.
