What's with all the blog additions?
Seems to me that everyone is adding stuff to their blog. Why? I'm not sure I understand. I see stuff for blog explosion, moods their in, books they like, ads, and other useless crap.
I think people read your blog for the content. I probably could figure out how to write some html code to make my blog more personalized. You don't come here for that do you? I thought you were visiting because I am a fucking cool mofo. You are here for the content right? I figure if I am writing something worth reading I won't need to use blog roll or blog explosion, true? Even if I could get the word out about my little soapbox in cyberspace by using those, I don't think I would want to. The people who read me everyday are closer to me somehow. It's like being in a club with a secret hand shake. If everyone knows it exists is it still cool? In some ways I think not.
I have a free stat counter on my site. It's there because I want to know how many people actually read my bullshit. I just added a who links here. It's not entirely accurate. There are a few people who have been left out. I guess I wanted to know who thinks I'm worth taking up some space in their blog. I am still curious who and why people read me. I have a lot of clicks from different places, some of them I can't decipher who they belong to. Are there people that read that never comment? If so why? I don't bite. Where are you from? Why are you here? Where is your blog? Can I visit? Who lives in Dulles? Who lives in Washington? Tell me all the pretty things?((((imitates Veruca Salt))) "I want it and I want it now, daddy!"
I don't think it makes me boring, lazy, less personal, or less creative to use the standard template. I think it makes me know that people are here for the right reasons, not the bells and whistles.
So thank you my loyal readers, my friends, and the occasional gawker. I think you guys rock.

This was not intended to offend users of any of the above programs, rather to boost my ego and subdue my curiosity. I am by no means suggesting that users of the aforementioned software are only having their sites visited because of advertising and a chic look. I am mainly speaking of websites that are cluttered with the stuff. If this is not enough of a disclaimer for you, get the hell off my page you fucking shit fuck.
