Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Well Michael and I are here in Evansville, IN. This is his home town. It is right on the Kentucky border and takes about twenty minutes to drive from one side to the other. We traveled all day yesterday to get here. It was a blustery 37 degrees when we finally arrived. That is quite a change from the seventies of AZ. Although it's cold, it's really nice to see so much green. Speaking of green, Michael is outside raking his mother's backyard. Damn, how did she get him to do that? I think I need some lessons from her or something.

Michael and I grew up so differently that it's really an experience for me to come here. All of his family members live in the state of Indiana. Most of them live here in E-ville. We are the only deviants. Today we will go to his grandma's house for dinner where the entire family will be. He has so much family he can't even keep track of who's who, so I am definitely screwed. I used to hate going to his family gatherings because it feels like you're under a magnifying glass. I love going because Michael's grandmother is exactly what I expect a grandmother to be. She is just wonderful, simply put.

I'll update you as the festivities begin...
