I am not a gamer, but...

When I first heard of the Halo2 party Grace was planning I thought it might be some costume party. This just tells you what a dork I am. I thought it might be people running around in some sort of ethereal costumes and that this was the second time she had thrown a party like this. Well of course I asked and did a little research. God, I sure am glad I never revealed the fact that I thought it was a costume party....

Anyway, I'm not a big video game player. When I do play video games it's usually organizational games like Tetris or Dr. Mario. We own several video game systems; super nintendo, nintendo 64, playstation, and playstation 2. All of the older systems have been spared because the newer systems don't really have any games that appeal to me, until now.

I have to say that the Halo 2 game was really cool, from what I can remember. It's not really my type of game, but it was fun (that's not just the cocktails talking). Steve must had to have taken a course in how to set up the wiring for the party. They had projectors, surround sound, three screens, and everything else a serious gamer would want (including Grace's dinonuggets). I knew I was probably going to suck ass, so I'm glad I had my drunkenness to blame on my poor performance.

Yesterday Grace came home early from work, even though she an ass load of work to do. We decided to play Pikman 2 and Super Mario Sunshine. I loved it. Pikman are the cutest little creatures ever. These games were a lot closer to my type and speed of game. I had already been working on Michael to get a gamecube because I love Super Mario Kart. This gaming session was the perfect ammo to make my case. So at some point today I will be setting up my new gamecube...

We bought it yesterday not thirty minutes after we landed. Score! So now I can have parties too, no costumes required.
